Turkey's exports in August increased by 8.1 percent on an annual basis to reach 23.5 billion dollars, recorded as the highest August figure of all time.

Historical Export Success in August

Turkey's exports in August recorded an annual increase of 8.1 percent, reaching 23.5 billion dollars and becoming the highest August figure of all time. Annualized exports reached the highest level in the history of the Republic at 280.3 billion dollars.

January-August Period and Growth Data

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat announced that exports in the January-August period broke a record at 185 billion dollars, and annualized exports in August reached 280.3 billion dollars. The Turkish economy recorded a growth of 2.3 percent in the second quarter of the year and 2.5 percent in the first half.

Export Targets and Technology Products

Minister Bolat emphasized that the target expected to be reached in exports this year is 282 billion dollars, and that only 1.7 billion dollars remain to reach this target. It was announced that the value increase in exports over the past year was 11 billion 235 million dollars.

High Technology and New Exporter Companies

Turkey's annualized medium-high and high-technology product exports rose to 116 billion dollars, constituting 43.5 percent of total foreign sales. TIM President Mustafa Gültepe stated that 874 companies made exports for the first time last month.
