Turkey's August Exports Reach $23.5 Billion
Recording an 8.1 percent increase compared to last year in August, Turkey's exports reached the highest monthly and annual levels of all time.
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat announced that Turkey's exports in August increased by 8.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 23 billion 467 million dollars, breaking the all-time August record.
Record Level in August Exports
According to the data announced by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Turkey's exports in August increased by 8.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. With this increase, the total export amount rose to 23 billion 467 million dollars.
January-August Period and Monthly Records
Total exports in the January-August period of 2026 reached 185 billion 6 million dollars with a 4 percent increase. Minister Bolat stated that monthly export records were broken in April, June, July, and August within the year 2026.
Annualized Exports and Services Revenue
The annualized export figure calculated as of August rose to 280.3 billion dollars, reaching the highest level in the history of the Republic. Additionally, the total services exports for the last 12 months are projected to reach 125 billion dollars.
Current Account Balance Expectation
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat reported that they anticipate a surplus in the current account balance in August 2026. According to the estimates made, a current account surplus of approximately 4.1 billion dollars is expected for August.
