Total Inflow in the First Seven Months of the Year
The total amount of direct investment coming to Turkey in the first seven-month period of 2026 reached 5.8 billion dollars. During this period, a 34 percent decrease was recorded compared to the same period of 2025.
Historical Total and Capital Distribution
While the total value of international direct investment inflows into Turkey since 2003 approaches 294 billion dollars, 909 million dollars of the investments in July materialized in the form of investment capital.
Real Estate and Other Elements
322 million dollars of the total investment in July was recorded through the sale of real estate to foreign nationals. Investment liquidations and debt instruments created downward effects valued at 44 million dollars and 33 million dollars, respectively.
Sectoral Distribution and Highlights
In July, the highest investments took place in paper manufacturing and wholesale and retail trade. Paper manufacturing and recorded media accounted for a 35 percent share with an inflow of 314 million dollars.
