According to data published by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis, it was reported that no changes were made to the country's growth rate in the second estimate.

In the first quarter of the year, the US economy had demonstrated a growth performance of 2.1 percent.

Factors Supporting and Limiting Growth

In the second quarter of the year, consumer spending, exports, and investments were among the main elements supporting economic growth positively.

Conversely, the decline in government spending and the increase in imports were recorded as the main factors limiting the overall pace of growth.

Sales, Inflation, and Corporate Profits

Final real sales to private domestic purchasers showed an increase of 4.2 percent during this period.

While upward revisions were made to inflation indicators, the increase in the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index was revised to 5.3 percent.

Corporate profits in the country, meanwhile, registered a total increase of 400.9 billion dollars as of the second-quarter period.
