In the US, private sector employment increased by 90,000 jobs in September, outpacing market expectations of 75,000 as employment growth regained momentum.

September Employment Data

According to ADP Research data, US private sector employment increased by 90,000 in September. The median expectation of economists participating in the Bloomberg survey was at the level of 75,000 people.

Sectoral Distribution and Growth

More than half of the recorded total increase took place in the fields of education and health services. At the same time, healthy growth in employment was also recorded in the leisure and hospitality, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

Fed Policies and Expert Evaluations

The stable labor market and resilient consumer spending allowed the US Federal Reserve (Fed) to focus on combating persistent inflation. The Fed had adjusted interest rates two weeks ago, and policymakers described the labor market as solid and balanced.

ADP Chief Economist Nela Richardson emphasized that the data was strong, stating that after a three-month slowdown period, employment growth regained momentum and wage increases maintained their robust trajectory.
