Weekly Decline Recorded in Central Bank's Total Reserves
With the decline in gross foreign exchange and gold reserves in the week of September 11, the Central Bank's total reserves fell to the level of $178 billion.
According to the weekly monetary and banking statistics announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, a significant amount of decrease was experienced in total reserves during the week of September 11.
Gross Foreign Exchange Reserves Decreased
As of September 11, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by $1 billion 962 million, retreating to $68 billion 444 million.
Decline in Gold Reserves
In the same period, gold reserves fell by $3 billion 561 million, dropping to the level of $110 billion 280 million.
Status of Total Reserves
According to the latest calculations, the Central Bank's total reserves registered a decrease of $5 billion 523 million compared to the previous week.
