In the Karacabey district of Bursa, 18-year-old Gökçe Alkan was murdered inside a car by her boyfriend, Mustafa B., who slit her throat. Following the incident, the suspect was detained, and the young girl's family called for justice.

In the incident that took place in a wooded area in the Güngörmez neighborhood of Bursa's Karacabey district, 18-year-old Gökçe Alkan and her 24-year-old boyfriend, Mustafa B., went to the wooded area by car.
Status of the Suspect
While the young girl lost her life at the scene, the suspect Mustafa B. harmed himself and injured his neck.
It was reported that the suspect, who was detained by gendarmerie teams, is continuing his treatment at the hospital.
Statements from the Family
Relating the final moments she spent with her daughter, the grieving mother stated that she objected when Gökçe said she wanted to go out, but her daughter nevertheless left the house.
Gökçe Alkan's older sister, Özlem Akbay, stated that when she warned her sister not to go, she received the reply, "I want to confront him, let me see him."
Calls for Justice
Stating that they expect the killer to receive the punishment he deserves, the mother emphasized that she does not want other mothers to experience this pain and stated that they want justice for all women.
Funeral Ceremony and March
Gökçe Alkan's funeral was handed over to her family after autopsy procedures at the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution and was buried after the funeral prayer performed at the Uluabatlı Hasan Mosque.
On the other hand, citizens reacted to femicides during a march held in Karacabey on October 5, carrying Turkish flags and photographs.
