Netflix Turkey Increases Subscription Fees
The popular digital content platform has restructured its monthly subscription tariffs in the Turkish market and announced the rate of increase.
Netflix has updated the monthly fees for its subscription packages offered in Turkey. Following the price hikes, the new subscription prices were set between 259.99 TL and 499.99 TL.
Current Pricing Policy
Netflix has put into effect a new pricing tariff covering all three basic subscription packages in Turkey. When comparing the old and new tariffs, it was observed that the increase rate in the packages ranged from approximately 31.6 percent to 36.8 percent.
Basic Package Fee
The monthly fee for the platform's Basic package, which offers 720p video quality, was raised from 189.99 TL to 259.99 TL. An increase of approximately 36.8 percent was made in this package.
While content can be viewed on televisions, computers, mobile phones, and tablets with the Basic package, the right to stream and download content simultaneously is limited to a single device.
Standard Package Details
The monthly price of the Standard package, which provides 1080p Full HD video quality, was increased from 289.99 TL to 389.99 TL. The price increase in this package amounted to approximately 34.5 percent.
The Standard package allows users to watch content on two devices simultaneously, and video content can be downloaded to a maximum of two supported devices.
Premium Package Options
The monthly fee for the Premium package, which is the highest-priced subscription option, was raised from 379.99 TL to 499.99 TL. Thus, a hike of approximately 31.6 percent was applied to this package.
The Premium package offers users 4K Ultra HD, HDR video quality, and spatial audio support. While simultaneous viewing from four devices in the same household is possible, content can be downloaded to six devices.
