OpenAI has introduced a new Data Tool for the ChatGPT Work platform to help employees in businesses find answers to data-driven questions. This tool makes it possible for users to connect to company data without writing any queries, investigate changes, and create and share interactive dashboards.
Broad Data Source Support
The new Data Tool can connect to approved data sources such as Amazon Redshift, Datadog, Google BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, MongoDB, and Snowflake, as well as Google Drive and SharePoint files. The system can also utilize enterprise terms and custom calculations coming from semantic layers and trusted sources.
Management and Integration Features
Corporate administrators can centrally manage data connections, roles, and permissions. While the developed tool can create dashboards on platforms such as Omni, Oracle BI, Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot, it also allows findings to be shared via Slack or email.
Alpha Program and Availability
Pioneering organizations in the Alpha program, such as NTT Data, Thermo Fisher, and ServicePiston, are already actively using this tool. The feature is located in the extensions directory within ChatGPT Work for administrators to configure and enable for their teams.
