Senator Flavio Bolsonaro received official backing on Monday from rival right-wing politicians Ronaldo Caiado and Romeu Zema, following Sunday's first-round vote.

Caiado, the former governor of Goias, secured 2.18% of the valid votes on Sunday, while Zema, the former governor of Minas Gerais, obtained 0.27%.

Details of the Endorsement Announcements

According to a statement from the press team of Caiado, who belongs to the PSD party, the politician will meet with Bolsonaro on Tuesday to announce his support. Zema, from the NOVO party, made his decision public through a post on his social media account.

Neutrality Stance of Other Candidates

Writer and psychiatrist Augusto Cury and Renan Santos, who received 2.89% and 2.24% of the vote respectively, stated that they will not support either Bolsonaro or Lula.

Election Schedule and Expectations

Surpassing expectations in Sunday's first-round vote to finish slightly ahead of President Lula, Bolsonaro will compete in the runoff election scheduled for October 25.
