Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced at an event he attended in Tuzla that the second meeting of the government committee established within the framework of the "Terror-Free Turkey process" will be held tomorrow.

The Committee's Work and Members

Yılmaz stated that the committee established under his chairmanship within the scope of the process will hold its second meeting in the morning to monitor the task. The committee includes the Ministers of National Defense, Foreign Affairs, Interior, and Justice, as well as relevant senior officials.

Economic Cost of Terrorism Calculated

Emphasizing that terrorism has hindered Turkey's economic and social development for many years, Yılmaz reported that, according to calculations made with the Presidency Directorate of Strategy and Budget, the 40-year loss is at least 2.3 trillion dollars.

Stages and Goals of the Process

Yılmaz noted that in the first stage, disarmament will be detected and reported on the ground, and the second stage, which includes legal processes, will not be transitioned to until this is completed. He also stated that Turkey's national income is expected to reach 1.8 trillion dollars by the end of 2026.
