3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit to Convene in Samsun in October

The 3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit, to be held in Samsun on October 15-18, 2026, will bring together leading figures from the health tourism, medical technology, and medical device sectors.

Date and Venue of the Summit

The 3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit will take place between October 15-18, 2026, at the Samsun Fair and Congress Center. The event aims to bring national and international stakeholders of the sector together under one roof.

Deriving Its Name from the Historical Mound

The organization takes its name from the İkiztepe Mound, located in Samsun's Bafra district and recognized as one of Anatolia's oldest settlement and medical history centers. This historical heritage serves as a source of inspiration for the summit's vision.

Institutional Supporters and Organizing Institution

The event is organized by the Samsun branch of the Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association (ASKON). The organization is supported by the Samsun Health Tourism Association, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, and the Provincial Health Directorate of the Samsun Governorate.

Samsun's Position in Medical Device Manufacturing

ASKON Samsun Branch President Ahmet Alp Doğru emphasized that the city is the world's third-largest center for surgical hand tool and medical device manufacturing, following Germany and Pakistan. More than 50 companies in the city produce over 15,000 product varieties.

Global Export and Simultaneous Fair

Medical products manufactured in Samsun are exported to more than 120 countries. Additionally, simultaneously with the summit, the SAMED North Anatolian Health and Medical Fair will open its doors to visitors, organized by EKO Fuarcılık.
