Cevdet Yılmaz Attended New Hospital Groundbreaking Ceremony in Elazığ
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced in his speech at the ceremony in Elazığ that the new generation 800-bed hospital is targeted to be completed in three years.
In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Fırat University New Hospital Building, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz shared the level reached by Türkiye's healthcare infrastructure nationwide and stated that new steps will be taken in the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Groundbreaking Ceremony Held
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Fırat University New Hospital Building as part of his provincial program and delivered a speech. Following the speeches, the foundation of the hospital was laid together with protocol members.
Healthcare Investments and Statistics
Emphasizing that Türkiye has become one of the strongest countries in healthcare services, Cevdet Yılmaz stated that 1,521 hospitals serve across the country. He also noted that the number of qualified beds has reached 184,000 and intensive care beds have reached 48,000.
Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Initiative
Stating that a success similar to that achieved in the defense industry will be shown in the healthcare industry, Yılmaz said they are determined to make significant progress in the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical devices by utilizing public purchasing power.
Technical Specifications of the New Hospital
Designed to combine Fırat University's research power with advanced healthcare services, the new hospital was planned with a capacity of 800 beds. While all general patient rooms in the facility are planned as single rooms, there are 155 intensive care beds for adults, children, and newborns.
