The booth set up by health teams in Ünye's Mithat Kısacıkoğlu Park welcomed citizens within the framework of Public Health Week activities.
Organized under the theme "Age Healthily, Stay Healthy," the event explained the importance of healthy and active aging to participants.
Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, and Body Mass Index Measurements
While blood pressure measurements of citizens were carried out in the event area, height and weight measurements were also taken.
Based on these data, the body mass indices of individuals were calculated and their current physical conditions were examined.
Risk Tests and Movement Age Assessments
A special risk test was applied to determine the predisposition to diabetes, and the health trends of the citizens were examined.
The movement ages of the participants were evaluated in detail with handgrip strength and balance tests.
Referral to Expert Units and Awareness Raising
Citizens whose risk scores were found to be high during the screenings and evaluations were informed in detail about their health conditions.
Individuals deemed necessary were referred to Family Medicine units and the Healthy Life Center for more comprehensive checks.
