Event Held in Kırklareli within the Scope of Public Health Week

On the occasion of September 3-9 Public Health Week, Kırklareli Provincial Health Director Çiğdem Cerit drew attention to the importance of preventive health services and shared the seven-day event plan prepared with the public.
Activities within the Scope of Public Health Week
In line with the guide prepared by the Ministry of Health, various events are being held throughout Turkey during Public Health Week. Kırklareli Provincial Health Director Çiğdem Cerit stated that preventive health services are of great importance in protecting public health.
While aiming to reach every segment of society throughout the week, raising citizens' awareness about their own health and strengthening their health literacy are among the primary objectives.
Special Awareness Messages for Each Day
In the created seven-day activity plan, a different health topic is highlighted each day. Within the scope of the program, awareness-raising activities are carried out on topics such as tobacco addiction, early diagnosis of cancer, and healthy life centers.
Additionally, it is aimed to raise society's awareness in different areas with topics such as digital world management, proper nutrition, family medicine, and a healthy future.
Sports Event at Millet Garden
Within the framework of the events held in Kırklareli, a sports event was organized at the Central Millet Garden with the participation of village/neighborhood heads (muhtars). Authorities drew attention to the importance of an active lifestyle and invited all citizens to such events.
Healthy Life Walk with Governor Turan
On the first day of Public Health Week, a healthy life walk was held together with Kırklareli Governor Uğur Turan. Such organized events aim to provide citizens with early-stage awareness.
