HAK-İŞ Deputy President and Öz Sağlık-İş Union President Devlet Sert participated in the 100th establishment anniversary programs of the Mongolian Health Workers' Union. Secretary General Fadlı Erdem and International Relations Coordinator Uğur Müftüoğlu also took part in the program.
The Significance of a Century-Long Struggle
In his speech at the program, President Devlet Sert greeted the participants and stated that a union having a history of a century is not merely composed of a long history. Sert indicated that this deep-rooted past is an indicator of the belief in labor, struggle, and employees' rights.

Conveying that health and social service workers in different parts of the world face similar problems, Sert emphasized that increasing workloads and working conditions constitute a common agenda. He drew attention to the necessity of improving employee safety and economic rights.

Touching upon the historical and cultural ties between Turkey and Central Asian countries, Devlet Sert stated that trade union solidarity makes peoples brothers. He expressed that health workers' unions in the region should share their experiences.
Regional Cooperation Proposals
President Sert made proposals regarding the establishment of regular consultation mechanisms among unions and the implementation of joint projects. He noted that the Öz Sağlık-İş Union is ready to play an active role in this regional process.
