Meeting with Medical Students
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu came together with students who entered Hacettepe, Ankara, and Gazi University Faculty of Medicine with top rankings this year at the Ministry of Health Bilkent Campus.
Capacity of the Healthcare System
Stating that young people hold an important place in Turkey's future, Memişoğlu emphasized that significant progress has been made in the field of healthcare over the past 20 years. Minister Memişoğlu stated that the healthcare system touches 3 million people daily and includes approximately 1.5 million healthcare workers.
The Medical Profession and Advice
Indicating that medicine is a profession of emotion and requires empathy, Minister Memişoğlu advised the youth to be idealistic and remain loyal to their families.
Turkey's Healthcare Infrastructure
Memişoğlu conveyed that there are approximately 253,000 physicians and 271,000 hospital beds across the country, and that healthcare services are provided in the best possible way everywhere in the nation. At the end of the program, stethoscopes were gifted to the students.
