Health Minister Memişoğlu Speaks at Mass Opening Ceremony in Rize

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu emphasized Turkey's successes in the healthcare field during a mass opening ceremony held in Rize and announced that the Rize City Hospital will enter service in 2027.

Mass Opening Ceremony in Rize

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu expressed his satisfaction with being together with his fellow citizens at the mass opening ceremony for completed investments in Rize.

Within the scope of the festival of works carried out in the city, many projects ranging from public housing to schools and nation's gardens were inaugurated.

Healthcare Politics and Infrastructure Investments

Minister Memişoğlu stated that they have carried Turkey to the summit in every field of healthcare through the politics of works led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

It was noted that healthcare services are provided to millions of citizens every day nationwide with 1,521 hospitals and a bed capacity exceeding 271,000.

Domestic Production and Technology Initiative

It was announced that domestic and national healthcare technologies are being developed thanks to the productive model implemented in the healthcare field.

In this context, it was emphasized that Turkey continues to increase its own production of medicines, vaccines, and medical devices.

Schedule for Rize City Hospital

Minister Memişoğlu shared the eagerly awaited schedule regarding the ongoing construction of the Rize City Hospital with the public.

It was reported that the hospital will be completed by the end of 2026 and offered to the service of citizens within the year 2027.

Other Investments and Events in the City

Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş stated that a facility group worth approximately 10 billion liras was inaugurated.

Additionally, the start of the Kaçkar by UTMB races, one of the world's most prestigious sports organizations, was given in the city.
