Heart Transplant Data in Public Hospitals Announced
According to Ministry of Health data, the number of heart transplants recently performed in public hospitals across Turkey has been shared with the public.
In a statement made by the Ministry of Health, data regarding heart transplant operations carried out in public hospitals for the year 2025 and the first half of 2026 was shared.
Heart Centers in Public Hospitals
Comprehensive health services continue to be provided within the Ministry of Health for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
A total of 117 centers, consisting of 101 adult heart centers and 16 pediatric heart centers operating in public hospitals across the country, provide services.
Number of Transplants and Performed Operations
Treatment processes are meticulously carried out for patients with advanced heart failure who meet appropriate medical criteria.
In this context, 46 heart transplant operations were successfully performed in public hospitals in 2025 and 11 in the first half of 2026.
Follow-up Processes by Expert Teams
Following heart transplant operations, the medical follow-up and treatment processes of the patients are carried out by specialized health teams.
