The 2nd International Festival of Health and Well-being in Old Age, organized by Kepez Municipality with the vision of an Age-Friendly Kepez, started with a cortege march and colorful events held in Dokumapark.

Start of the Festival and Cortege March

The 2nd International Festival of Health and Well-being in Old Age, organized by Kepez Municipality in Antalya, kicked off with a cortege march held in Dokumapark.

Guests from different cities of Turkey and various countries of the world came together in this meaningful gathering prepared under the theme 'From a Lifetime to a Future'.

Opening Speeches and Protocol Participation

Within the scope of the opening program, Prof. Dr. İsmail Tufan, Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, and Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of the event.

The opening program once again demonstrated to the participants that growing older means participating more strongly in life with experience and life energy.

International Advisory Board Meeting

It was stated that the first meeting of the Age-Friendly Kepez International Advisory Board would be held within the scope of the festival, and that scientists from many different countries would take part in the board.

Experts from Singapore, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, China, the USA, Italy, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus serve on this board.

Refresher University Students Participated

60+ Refresher University students and esteemed academics from different cities of Turkey also participated in the festival, sharing in the enthusiasm.

The opening program provided pleasant moments for the participants with colorful dance performances and concerts continuing throughout the day.
