International Health and Well-being in Aging Festival Started at Dokumapark
The International Health and Well-being in Aging Festival, which supports the participation of elderly individuals in social life, opened its doors at Dokumapark in Antalya.
The second International Health and Well-being in Aging Festival, held this year in Antalya, started at Dokumapark with the participation of protocol members and citizens. Held with the theme "From a Lifetime to a Future," the event offers a rich program for three days.

This meaningful event, brought to life with the theme "From a Lifetime to a Future," aims to support the active participation of senior individuals in social life.
The event offers participants pleasant moments by presenting a rich three-day program full of workshops, talks, and concerts. The organization, which aims to ensure that elderly individuals are intertwined with society, intends to create social awareness regarding active aging.
Great Interest in the Opening Ceremony
Starting with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, the opening ceremony of the festival drew great interest from protocol members and citizens. Following the completion of the protocol speeches within the scope of the ceremony, the opening ribbon was cut together by the protocol members.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Kepez District Governor Suat Dervişoğlu, Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, and 60+ Refreshment University Founder Prof. Dr. İsmail Tufan attended the ceremony. In addition, Kyrenia 60+ Age Refreshment University Coordinator Emete Toros, academics, and numerous residents of Antalya took part in the ceremony.
Evaluations by Governor Şahin
Speaking at the opening, Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin stated that aging is an important opportunity opening into a new period of life and emphasized that this process should be evaluated through the sharing of experiences. Pointing out that 60+ Refreshment Universities offer socialization opportunities, Şahin thanked all academics supporting the project.
Reminding that Antalya's climate presents a great advantage for a healthy life, Governor Şahin invited citizens to be active and live in touch with nature. Şahin also stated that the basis of municipalism is to increase the quality of life and conveyed his thanks to Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz.
Rich Event Calendar
Realized with the contributions of the Kepez Municipality and hosting its guests at Dokumapark on October 2, 3, and 4, the festival offers participants a versatile program. Among the events prepared in a wide range from health to art, sports to culture, various talks are also included.
Workshop studies, performances, and concerts to be organized within the scope of the festival aim to include participants of all ages into life. Reinforcing the consciousness of aging together and actively, this organization provides the people of Antalya with three full days.
