The Food Safety Department of the Ministry of Health launched a comprehensive investigation after numerous people who consumed bread purchased from an establishment operating in Gia Lai province were hospitalized with suspected food poisoning.

Suspected Symptoms and Hospital Admissions

Many people who consumed bread purchased from the Bin Bin Establishment in Gia Lai province developed health issues suggesting food poisoning, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, recurrent vomiting, and fever. Ill citizens were transferred to the An Khe Medical Center for examination and intervention.

Instructions and Measures from the Ministry of Health

Following a report dated August 25, 2026, the Food Safety Department of the Ministry of Health sent an official dispatch to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health on the afternoon of August 26. The dispatch requested focusing on active treatment of patients, conducting urgent epidemiological investigations to identify the source of poisoning, and increasing inspections of street food establishments.
