Purpose of the New Structure
Operating under the General Directorate of Public Hospitals of the Ministry of Health, the Medical Device Services Department will carry out its work with a structure that accurately analyzes the needs of public health facilities, uses resources effectively, and prioritizes service continuity.

While Emre Şahin has been brought to the head of the newly established department, he stated that they aim to establish a sustainable medical device management structure that accurately reads field needs and is based on data.
Sub-units Included Within Its Structure
Units for medical device inventory management, service procurement planning, needs planning, and monitoring and evaluation of biomedical technical services will operate under the new department.
Maintenance and Workshop Operations
Units for maintenance, repair, calibration, and regional workshops, as well as a technical evaluation, prioritization, and renewal unit, will also actively function within the department.
Supply and Investment Planning
The department will ensure that the medical device requirement programs of health investments are prepared in accordance with planning and will manage related procurement processes.
Biomedical and Financial Management
Ensuring the effective financial and technical management of durable movables in public health facilities, the unit will coordinate biomedical engineering services in provincial health directorates.
