The Ministry of Health announced that it has trained approximately 500,000 people as health ambassadors through the Healthy Life Academies (SAHA), which were implemented within the framework of the preventive health model. It was stated that a total of nearly 1 million citizens have been reached across the country within 1.5 years through activities carried out as part of Public Health Week.

A new era for health literacy

The Ministry of Health continues SAHA training in Healthy Life Centers to increase the society's health literacy and promote a culture of healthy living. In this context, approximately 500,000 people who completed their training have begun serving as health ambassadors in the community.

Comprehensive training in schools

Activities carried out under the theme 'Healthy Child, Healthy Future' as part of Public Health Week focused on educational institutions. According to Ministry data, health awareness was instilled by reaching a total of 878,840 students directly in 2,862 schools across the country.

1 million people reached through academies

Through the Infant, Child, and Youth Academies, education and counseling services have been provided to approximately 1 million people in the last 1.5 years. 139,717 people benefited from the Infant Academy, 422,965 from the Child Academy, and 437,140 from the Youth Academy.

Educational content and counseling

The training provided in the academies covers critical topics such as parenting skills, child development, healthy eating habits, and changes during adolescence. Additionally, guidance services are offered to young people on ways to protect themselves from harmful habits.
