Ministry of Health Takes Strict Inspection Step for Training and Certification Processes
At a workshop held in Ho Chi Minh City, it was announced that inspections will be strengthened to improve the training quality of medical personnel and prevent fraudulent certificates.
Ministry of Health officials and medical facility managers discussed the quality of vocational training and certification processes for healthcare workers at a comprehensive workshop. During the meeting, it was announced that inspection mechanisms and standards will be tightened to prevent irregular practices and superficial courses.
Location of the Workshop and Cooperation
An important workshop was held in Ho Chi Minh City, spearheaded by the Department of Science, Technology and Training and the Legal Department, in cooperation with Military Hospital 175.
Stakeholders came together at this gathering, where the training quality of healthcare workers was addressed, to improve current practices in the sector.
Superficial Courses and Detection of Irregularities
Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Training at the Ministry of Health, stated that technical training in some units remained merely superficial.
Emphasizing that cases of irregular training certificates detected damage the reputation of the healthcare sector, Dr. Quang stated that inspections will be increased.
Autonomy Policy and Inspection Processes
Officials conveyed that post-inspection controls will be carried out much more strongly in line with increasing autonomy policies.
It was strongly emphasized that healthcare facilities must fully meet the specified criteria and national standards.
Practical Ability and Application Conditions
Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, said that specialized technical training must be directly linked to practical abilities.
He stated that a certificate alone does not grant practice authority, and that a separate written authorization process is required for this.
Training Effectiveness and Capacity Benchmark
Dr. Tran Quoc Viet, Director of Military Hospital 175, stated that the success of training does not depend on the number of trainees participating.
He stated that the true benchmark should be the capacity to apply the techniques imparted to personnel independently and safely on patients.
