New Coordination System for Health Centers
A new hospital matching system has been launched in Ho Chi Minh City to prevent health centers from requesting support from multiple hospitals for the same issue.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that, under the hospital and health center integration program, a specific general hospital has been assigned to each health center. The practice aims to prevent health stations from requesting assistance from multiple hospitals at the same time.
Scope of the New Regulation
Within the framework of the program implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, a partner general hospital has been assigned to all 168 commune and ward health stations in the city.
Responsibilities of General Hospitals
General hospitals are obligated to provide comprehensive support to health centers. When special situations arise that exceed their own professional capacities, they directly communicate with specialized hospitals.
Prevention of Multiple Request Confusion
The need for support is primarily discussed with the assigned general hospital. This prevents complicated situations such as a health station requesting support from more than one hospital simultaneously for the same issue.
Role of Specialized Hospitals
Specialized hospitals are not directly responsible for individual health centers, but are positioned to provide professional support in specific areas to the entire network of 168 health centers.
Capacity Monitoring and Coordination
General hospitals regularly monitor the activities and capacity shortages of the health stations affiliated with them. If needs exceed their own capacity, proactive connections are established with specialized hospitals.
