According to the data from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, a total of 167 million 814 thousand liras was spent from the budget for the treatment, medical supplies, and pharmaceutical expenses of 592 MPs serving in the TBMM and their relatives in the first 8 months of 2026.

According to the data from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, a total of 167 million 814 thousand liras was spent from the budget for the treatment, medical supplies, and pharmaceutical expenses of 592 MPs serving in the TBMM and their relatives in the first 8 months of 2026. Of this amount, 165 million 252 thousand liras constituted treatment and medical supplies, while 2 million 562 thousand liras constituted pharmaceutical expenses.

Daily and Hourly Expenditure Averages

When the total health expenditure in the January-August period is divided by days, the daily average reached approximately 691 thousand liras. The average hourly expenditure was calculated as approximately 28 thousand 800 liras.

Treatment and Medical Supply Expenses

The treatment and medical supply expenses of MPs and their relatives reached 165 million 252 thousand liras in the first 8 months of the year. In this category, 13 million 939 thousand liras were spent in January, 19 million 925 thousand liras in February, 15 million 424 thousand liras in March, and 25 million 580 thousand liras in April. Expenses, which were 15 million 222 thousand liras in May, rose to 30 million 16 thousand liras in June. In July, treatment and medical supply expenses of 21 million 220 thousand liras and in August 23 million 926 thousand liras were recorded.

Monthly Changes in Pharmaceutical Expenses

While lower amounts were seen in pharmaceutical expenses in the early months of the year, a significant increase occurred in July and August. For medication, 16 thousand liras were spent in January, 34 thousand liras in February, 28 thousand liras in March, 119 thousand liras in April, 3 thousand liras in May, and 234 thousand liras in June. In July, pharmaceutical expenses rose to 698 thousand liras, reaching 1 million 430 thousand liras in August. Thus, pharmaceutical expenditures in August approximately doubled compared to July.
