"My Health at the Workplace" Project Started for Bartın Organized Industrial Zone Employees
A new preventive health initiative has been launched to provide employees at the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone with easy access to health services.
Within the scope of the Ministry of Health's "My Health at the Workplace" project, screening and health services have started to be offered to employees at the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone.
Aim and Introduction of the Project
The "My Health at the Workplace" project was introduced by the General Directorate of Public Health with the aim of protecting employee health and developing a culture of healthy living in workplaces. The importance of preventive health services was emphasized during the program held at the Bartın Organized Industrial Zone Directorate Conference Hall.
Free Health Services
Faruk Çağlar, Head of the Department of Employee Health, stated that the project plans to bring services such as smoking cessation clinics, cancer screening, and the fight against obesity directly to the employees free of charge.
Governor Arslan's Evaluation
Bartın Governor Nurtaç Arslan stated that employees spend a large portion of their days in workplaces, and that this project will have positive reflections not only on the employees but also on their families and society in general.
Goals and Scope
The project aims to inform employees on healthy nutrition, physical activity, the harms of tobacco and alcohol, protection from chronic diseases, and early diagnosis. Through the efforts to be carried out for 6 months in the Organized Industrial Zone, it is aimed to reach approximately 6,700 employees.
