China's Data Regulator Prepares Standards for Embodied AI

Industry Demands and Meeting

The meeting led by the agency was held on September 10. During the discussions, which were attended by research institutes, technology companies, and humanoid robotics organizations, it was emphasized that the industry is becoming more data-driven.

Training Data and Infrastructure Investments

It is estimated that embodied AI foundation models require millions of hours of real-world training data. While numerous training sites operate across China, a significant portion of them focus on industrial manufacturing.

Situation and Regulations in Europe

Europe, on the other hand, has introduced rules regulating who can access data generated by connected machines, but unlike China, it has lagged behind in establishing large-scale programs to generate such data.
