The land of the old hospital building, which was demolished after the Alanya Education and Research Hospital entered service, is being transformed into a comprehensive primary health care complex in line with the new planning by the Ministry of Health.

New Planning in Place of the Demolished Building

A new decision was made by the Ministry of Health for the land of the old hospital building in Alanya, which was determined to be earthquake-vulnerable and demolished this year.

Since the 12.8-dunam plot of land did not have the required size for the construction of a hospital, it was decided to design the area as a primary health care complex.

Units United Under a Single Roof

AK Party Alanya District Chairman Mehmet Şarani Tavlı stated that with the new arrangement, the region will become a center where both therapeutic and preventive health services are carried out.

It was announced that the District Health Directorate, Healthy Life Center, Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Center (KETEM), and UMKE will serve in the same area in place of the demolished building.

Enriched Health Services

It was reported that specialized units such as a dental clinic, psychologists, psychiatry, and physiotherapists will be included within the newly established Healthy Life Center.

It was noted that the general characteristics of the center will have the quality of a provincial health Directorate and will offer wide-ranging health opportunities to the local population.
