The newly enacted health insurance regulations have caused a major surge in the number of patients by ensuring that 50% of the expenses of outpatients receiving treatment in non-network institutions are covered.

New Insurance Regulation and Scope

With the regulation effective from July 1, 2026, 50% of the outpatient treatment expenses of individuals with health insurance at designated non-network institutions are covered by the Health Insurance Fund. This policy offers patients more alternatives for treatment while alleviating the cost burden.

Following the new policy, the number of outpatient patients at Dong Nai Dermatology Hospital surged from 1,200-1,300 per month to over 4,200, an increase of approximately 3.3 times. Patients choose this center to benefit from insurance advantages and due to the ease of transportation.
