Parliamentary Question Submitted to Provincial General Council for Lüleburgaz Healthy Life Center
Kırklareli Provincial General Council Member Saygun Ersin submitted a parliamentary question to effectively utilize the capacity of Lüleburgaz No. 2 Healthy Life Center and to complete missing medical branches.
Kırklareli Provincial General Council Member Saygun Ersin submitted a parliamentary question to the Provincial General Council to effectively utilize the capacity of Lüleburgaz No. 2 Healthy Life Center in Hürriyet Neighborhood, where approximately 18,000 people live, and to complete missing medical branches.
Commissioning of the Health Facility
In order to make healthcare services in Lüleburgaz more effective and accessible, the construction of the 8-Physician Family Health Center, Healthy Life Center, and 2 emergency medical services station buildings, which started in 2024, was completed and put into service.
Within the scope of this large facility with a total closed area of 4,220 square meters, Lüleburgaz No. 2 Healthy Life Center also opened its doors to citizens in Hürriyet Neighborhood.
Demand for Expansion of Services
Kırklareli Provincial General Council Member Saygun Ersin submitted a formal parliamentary question to the Presidency of the Provincial General Council in order to increase the current service capacity of the center.
Stating that a dietitian and a pedagogue started working at the center within a year, Ersin expressed that services should be further expanded in line with the population and healthcare needs of the region.
New Branches for a Population of 18,000
Drawing attention to the fact that approximately 18,000 people live in Hürriyet Neighborhood and its surroundings, the motion emphasized that current services might remain insufficient.
In addition to dietitian, child development specialist, and physiotherapist services, it was requested that physical therapy, ophthalmology, ear-nose-throat, and obstetrics and gynecology branches also be planned.
Emphasis on Preventive Health Services
Extensive space was given to preventive health activities in the motion in order to increase the quality of the health services provided.
It was stated that critical preventive health services such as the Pregnant School and Smoking Cessation Polyclinic should be carried out more effectively in the region.
Demand for a Concrete Service Plan and Schedule
Saygun Ersin requested in his motion that the Provincial General Council be informed about which health services are currently being actively provided at Lüleburgaz No. 2 Healthy Life Center.
In addition, the creation of a concrete service plan and schedule for the neighborhood polyclinic, dietitian, child development, and other branches was requested.
Effective Use of Public Resources
It was clearly stated in the motion that the health facility created by using public resources should be prevented from operating with idle capacity.
Written information was requested regarding the evaluation of the investment in accordance with its establishment purpose, as well as the missing branches and personnel status at the center.
Referral to the Commission
The parliamentary question, which was taken up and discussed during the Provincial General Council session, was referred to the Environment and Health Commission for the necessary examinations to be made.
