Public Health Week Events from Afyonkarahisar Provincial Health Directorate
With the program to be organized across the city, it is aimed to raise citizens' awareness about preventive health services and support health checks.
The Afyonkarahisar Provincial Health Directorate announced the program of events to be implemented across the city within the scope of Public Health Week with the theme "Public Health Every Day".
Theme and Purpose of the Events
With the activities to be carried out under the theme of Public Health Every Day, it is aimed to raise citizens' awareness about preventive health services and to support health checks.
In the announcement made by the Provincial Health Directorate, it was stated that the events will draw attention to the importance of preventive health services and aim to spread healthy living habits.
Services at the MotoFest Area
Various health services will be offered to citizens and information will be provided at the Afyonkarahisar MotoFest Area between September 2-6.
Within the scope of the events, information will be provided on mother-child health, vaccination, health literacy, the fight against addiction, and smoking cessation.
In addition, while cancer screenings and diabetes and hypertension risk assessments are carried out, blood pressure, blood sugar, height, and weight measurements will also be performed.
Park Afyon Shopping Mall Activities
On September 7, informational activities regarding healthy nutrition, physical activity, and the prevention of chronic diseases will be carried out at Park Afyon Shopping Mall.
Zafer City Square Meeting
On September 8, awareness will be raised at Zafer City Square regarding healthy living and Healthy Life Center services.
Services and Screenings
Throughout the week, comprehensive information will be provided to citizens about family medicine, the Healthy Life Center, and preventive oral and dental health services.
It was reported that oral and dental health screenings will also be conducted with the Mobile Dental Screening Vehicle.
