Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi went to Turgutlu immediately after the unfortunate attack, received information from authorities, and made inspections at the scene.
Health Status of Injured Students
It was reported that the surgeries of three of the students injured in the attack are ongoing, three students are in intensive care, and one person has been discharged.
Source of the Weapon Used in the Attack
Investigations revealed that the licensed weapon used in the incident belonged to the grandmother, and the child obtained this weapon from the grandfather's house to carry out the act.
Security Warning Issued to Families
Minister Çiftçi drew attention to the importance of keeping weapons in secure places and emphasized that families need to take precautions in this regard.
Strict Inspections Around Schools
It was stated that units affiliated with the Ministry of Interior continue their inspections around schools through public order, narcotics, and juvenile branches.
Psychosocial Support Teams on Duty
It was announced that twenty psychosocial support personnel have started working to support the students following the incident, and this number will be increased.
