Evaluated Criteria and Infrastructure Conditions

During the inspections, the quality of healthcare services provided by the hospitals was meticulously reviewed.

Necessary equipment, infrastructure, infection control, and operating room safety conditions were examined in detail by the authorities.

Closure Decisions in the Zakho Region

It was announced that two of the 9 private hospitals determined to have failed to fulfill the conditions are located within the borders of the Zakho Independent Administration.

As a result of the efforts carried out in coordination with the Zakho General Directorate of Health, the operating rooms of two hospitals and one private center were closed.

Investigation into Illegal Drugs and Unlicensed Activities

Official files were opened at the Zakho Investigation Court against two centers that failed to comply with the rules during the inspections.

It was determined that illegal drugs were kept in these locations and medical activities were carried out without the necessary licenses and documents.

Restrictions Until Deficiencies Are Addressed

The 9 hospitals whose surgeries have been suspended are required to completely fulfill all requested conditions and legal procedures.
