Turk Saglik-Sen Objects to Photo-Based Attendance Tracking System at Council of Forensic Medicine
The union has requested the removal of the practice of taking photos during card-swiping for work attendance tracking at the Council of Forensic Medicine.
Turk Saglik-Sen has submitted an official application objecting to the practice of taking photos during card-swiping within the scope of the Personnel Attendance Control System implemented within the Council of Forensic Medicine on legal grounds, demanding the suspension of the practice.
Application Filed to End the Practice
In the official application made by Turk Saglik-Sen, it was requested that the practice of taking photos of personnel while swiping their cards at entrances and exits during the Personnel Attendance Control System process implemented in the Council of Forensic Medicine be completely terminated.
Legal and Personal Data Grounds Presented
In the statement made by the union, it was emphasized that work tracking can already be done through the card-swiping method. In addition, it was stated that recording personnel photos could constitute a violation of the protection of personal data, the privacy of private life, and the principle of proportionality.
Legislation and Board Decisions Reminded
In the application, explicit reference was made to the relevant legislative provisions as well as decisions previously made by the Personal Data Protection Board.
Turk Saglik-Sen demanded that necessary steps be taken to make the current operation of the attendance tracking devices fully compliant with legal regulations.
