We Are Above the OECD Average
Stating that the average annual number of outpatient visits per citizen is well above the average of OECD countries, Yılmaz emphasized that Turkey has reached a very different position as one of the countries with the strongest access to healthcare.
Infrastructure and Number of Hospitals
Officials reported that 1,521 hospitals across Turkey currently serve the nation, and that qualified bed and intensive care capacities have been multiplied.
While the number of qualified beds, which was 19,000 in 2002, increased to 184,000, and the number of intensive care beds, which was around 2,000, rose to 48,000, the number of city hospitals also reached 27.
Satisfaction and Health Tourism
It was stated that the satisfaction rate with healthcare services has shown a significant increase compared to past years, and that health tourism also brings billions of dollars to the country.

Sharing the pride of Fırat University ranking 17th among research universities, it was noted that with the completion of the new hospital, research power will meet advanced healthcare services.
