Security and Migration-Focused Cooperation Meeting Between Turkey and Austria
Joint steps under the headings of terrorism, organized crime, and migration management were discussed at the meeting in Ankara.

A critical meeting was held in Ankara under the chairmanship of Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi and Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner. Security topics between the two countries were addressed within the scope of the 4th Meeting of the Turkey-Austria Joint Cooperation Mechanism.
Positive Progress in Relations
Minister Çiftçi stated that relations between Turkey and Austria have gained a positive momentum with high-level contacts in recent years. Attention was drawn to the importance of developing cooperation in a wide range of areas, primarily security and migration management.
Emphasis on Decisive Fight Against Terrorism
The issue of combating terrorist organizations was comprehensively addressed during the meeting. It was stated that Turkey displays a decisive stance against terrorist hubs, primarily PKK/KCK, FETÖ, DHKP-C, and ISIS.
Transnational Organized Crimes
Drawing attention to the international structure of organized crime organizations, drug trafficking and migrant smuggling issues were evaluated. Furthermore, it was emphasized that a joint struggle on a global scale must be waged against cybercrimes and money laundering.
