Access Blocked for 60 Accounts in Mersin Obscenity Investigation

Within the scope of an obscenity and prostitution investigation coordinated by the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, access to 60 social media accounts determined to have made provocative posts targeting the judicial process and containing LGBT propaganda was blocked by court order.

Family is Safe Operation

Efforts targeting obscenity and prostitution crimes were carried out by the Provincial Police Department Public Order Branch Morals Bureau teams under the coordination of the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

In line with the information obtained, the 'Family is Safe' operation was organized simultaneously at numerous addresses identified across Mersin.

Accusations and Judicial Proceedings

During the operation, firearms and various criminal evidence were seized by security forces.

Judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspects for the crimes of producing obscene content, immoral prostitution, and providing locations for prostitution.

Social Media Decisions

During the ongoing investigation process, it was determined that some social media accounts made provocative posts targeting the ongoing judicial procedures.

Upon the request of the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, access to 60 accounts was blocked by the decisions of the 3rd Criminal Judgeship of Peace and the 4th Criminal Judgeship of Peace in Mersin.

Cyber Security Notification

Official notifications were made to the relevant institutions in order to implement the access blocking decisions issued by the courts.

It was learned that necessary notifications were transmitted to the Cyber Security Presidency for the fulfillment of the decisions.
