Access restriction imposed on 99 accounts spreading disinformation in the Narin Güran case
Despite Supreme Court decisions, a Diyarbakır Criminal Judgeship of Peace issued an access block decision regarding 99 social media accounts conducting disinformation.
In relation to the investigation and court proceedings concerning the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır, an access block was imposed on 99 social media accounts determined to have engaged in disinformation contrary to finalized judicial decisions.
Access Block Decision
With a new decision issued by the Diyarbakır Criminal Judgeship of Peace, access was blocked to 99 social media accounts determined to have engaged in disinformation against public institutions and the finalized decisions of the Supreme Court.
Sentences in the Judicial Process
In earlier judicial stages regarding the Narin Güran murder, aggravated life imprisonment had been handed down to mother Yüksel Güran, uncle Salim Güran, and brother Enes Güran.
Neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar, on the other hand, was sentenced to 17 years in prison as a result of the retrial held following the reversal.
Examinations and Investigations
Within the scope of ongoing legal proceedings, information was shared that the accounts of 31 individuals would also be examined within the framework of the Narin Güran documentary investigation.
