Al-Qaeda and ISIS Operation in Istanbul: 14 Detentions

Within the scope of operations carried out by security forces in Istanbul, 14 suspects determined to have made posts praising the Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations on their social media accounts were apprehended and detained.
Details of the Operation
As a result of the efforts carried out against terrorist organizations in Istanbul, security forces took action and organized simultaneous raids on the addresses of the suspects.
Following these operations, a total of 14 suspects were apprehended and taken to security units.

The reason cited for the apprehension of the suspects was propaganda-content posts made via their social media accounts.
It was determined by security units that content praising the Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations was shared through the relevant accounts.
