Simultaneous Operation Against Social Media Influencers
Individuals identified as generating unfair profits through fictional and provocative posts on digital media became the target of security forces.
Within the scope of an investigation centered in Istanbul, 10 influencers determined to have generated unfair income through fictional content on social media platforms were detained in a simultaneous operation.
Efforts of Security Teams
The Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Security's Public Order Branch and Cyber Crimes Branch carried out a joint operation.
Within this scope, accounts targeting public morality and the Turkish family structure on digital media were scrutinized.
Unfair Profit Through Fictional Content
Fictional content themed around fights, threats, insults, tension, and victimhood was intentionally produced on various platforms.
Individuals who generated unfair digital income by increasing engagement through this method were identified and put under surveillance.
Raids Conducted Across Ten Provinces
Simultaneous raids were carried out in a total of ten provinces, centered in Istanbul.
The provinces where operations were conducted included Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Kocaeli, Muğla, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, and Elazığ.
List of Detained Suspects
As a result of the operation, Sinan Kaya, Cansum Kaya, Ferhat Billor, and Çağlayan Yıldırım were among the captured names.
Additionally, Onur Sermik, Elif Akdemir, Onur Can Güzel, Mehmet Emin Citer, Mehmet Aden Arslan, and Semih Varol were also detained.
Judicial Process and Health Checks
The captured suspects were referred to the Istanbul Public Order Branch Directorate for processing.
While judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspects, they underwent health checks to detect substance use, and blood and urine samples were taken.
