A social media influencer and four family members were shot dead in the Mexican state of Nuevo León.
In an incident in the city of Montemorelos in Mexico's Nuevo León state, social media influencer Cinthya Abigail Tamez Rivera, her partner, and their three children were found dead in a home and a vehicle.
Discovery of the Incident
Five people lost their lives in an incident that took place on September 30, 2026, in the city of Montemorelos in Mexico's Nuevo León state.
Acting on a tip-off, police teams found the lifeless bodies of members of the same family inside a vehicle and a house in the area.
Lifeless Bodies Found in the Vehicle
The bodies of 33-year-old Cinthya Abigail Tamez Rivera and her 2-year-old son Gustavo were found inside a vehicle in the Los Fresnos neighborhood.
While it was determined that the mother and child had been shot with a firearm, a handgun and ballistic evidence were recovered at the scene.
Investigations at the House
When police teams could not reach the other children, they went to the family home located about 400 meters away and launched an investigation.
Investigation and Possibilities
The Nuevo León Attorney General's Office is focusing on the possibility that the woman may have killed her family and then committed suicide.
It was reported that the cartridge cases belonging to the handgun found at the two different crime scenes matched and that the multi-faceted investigation is ongoing.
