Social media phenomenon Çağla Öz, who was detained in Istanbul within the scope of a financial crimes investigation centered in Van, has been arrested by the court she was brought before.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, social media phenomenon Çağla Öz, wife of Mehmet Fatih Tançalan, who was detained in Istanbul, was sent to prison after being referred to court.
Development of the Investigation
It was reported that judicial proceedings were initiated against Çağla Öz, wife of social media phenomenon Mehmet Fatih Tançalan, following a comprehensive investigation conducted by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Detention in Istanbul and Transfer to Van
Detained as a result of an operation carried out by the Financial Crimes Bureau teams of the Istanbul Police Department, Çağla Öz was transferred to Van, where the investigation is being conducted, and her procedures at the police station were completed.
Referral to Courthouse and Arrest Decisions
Having been referred to the courthouse after completing her procedures at the police station, suspect Çağla Öz and her relative M.S.T. were arrested on charges of laundering assets derived from crime.
Other suspects N.O. and S.A., who were also referred to the courthouse within the same scope of the investigation, were released by the duty criminal judgeship under judicial control provisions.
