104th Anniversary of Balıkesir's Liberation Celebrated with First-Ever Culture Festival
Balıkesir is preparing to celebrate the 104th anniversary of its liberation from enemy occupation with its first-ever Culture Festival, lasting seven days.
The Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality will celebrate the 104th anniversary of the city's liberation from enemy occupation for seven days through the newly launched Balıkesir Culture Festival.
Festival and Women's Labor Bazaar
A Women's Labor Bazaar will open at the Avlu Living Center Poolside Stage in cooperation with the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and the Balıkesir City Council.
Local values will be brought together with visitors at booths featuring the hand-crafted products of approximately 200 women entrepreneurs.
Various Activities and Cultural Associations
Booths opened by associations belonging to different cultures will contribute to the festive atmosphere, while children's areas will bring joy to the little ones.
Various folk dance and cultural associations, along with performing arts troupes, will take part in the festival and present colorful shows.
Liberation Cup Competitions
Within the scope of the events, the Liberation Cup Volleyball Tournament will be held at the Alpaslan Türkeş Sports Complex.
The excitement will reach its peak with a football tournament to be organized at the Ali Hikmet Paşa Sports Facilities and the closing ceremony.
Table Tennis and Tennis Tournaments
The Altıeylül Liberation Day Table Tennis Tournament will meet with sports fans at the Şehit Turgut Solak Sports Hall.
Meanwhile, the Altıeylül Liberation Day Tennis Tournament will be organized at the Altıeylül Tennis Courts in Asuva.
Running and Basketball Match
Balıkesir Büyükşehir Belediyespor and Kütahya Belediyespor will face each other at the Şehit Turgut Solak Sports Hall.
The traditionalized İsmail Akçay Road Race will also add a distinct color to the liberation day events.
Concerts and Closing Program
Events in Balıkesir, which will host the Triathlon Regional League Final, will continue by the pool.
Beloved artists Bülent Altınbaş and Ayhan Erden will take the stage by the pool at the Avlu Living Center.
