2026 ILCA European Cup Races Held in Bodrum Conclude
The sailing competitions, held with the participation of one hundred thirty-four athletes from fourteen countries, concluded with the awarding of the top-ranking names.
The 2026 ILCA European Cup sailing races, held in the Bodrum district of Muğla with the participation of 134 athletes from 14 countries, concluded with an award ceremony.
Scope and Participation of the Races
An international organization was carried out hosted by the Bodrum Municipality Bodrumspor Sailing Branch, with the support of ministries and federations.
A total of 134 athletes from 14 different countries participated in the competitions held in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7 classes.
Award Ceremony and Participants
Following four days of fiercely contested organization, a comprehensive award ceremony was organized for the athletes who achieved rankings.
Club presidents, board members, judges, coaches, and medal-winning athletes came together at the ceremony.
Preparation for Future Championships
This major organization served as a preparation for the ILCA Under-21 European Championship to be held in Bodrum in the coming days.
Additionally, the races directly contributed to the 2027 World Sailing Championship national team ranking points.
Ranked Athletes
Sailors who ranked in the top three in the general classification of their categories received their medals at the ceremony held.
