3.1 Billion TL Sports Investment Move from Adapazarı Municipality
With an additional appropriation of 500 million TL approved by the municipal council, the financing for new sports complexes to be brought to the district has been secured.
The Adapazarı Municipal Council, with the decision taken at its September meeting, added 500 million TL to the 2026 budget, raising the total budget to the 3.1 billion TL level. Mayor Mutlu Işıksu announced that this resource will be used for comprehensive sports projects to be implemented in the district.
Additional Budget Approved Unanimously
The Adapazarı Municipal Council made an important decision in line with financial discipline and investment goals during the second session of its regular September meeting. The proposal to provide an additional appropriation of 500 million TL to the 2026 Fiscal Year revenue and expenditure budgets was accepted unanimously by the council members.
New Sports Facilities on the Way
Mayor Mutlu Işıksu stated that the increased budget will primarily be used to strengthen sports infrastructure. Planned projects include a 4,000-capacity indoor sports hall, an 8-lane semi-Olympic swimming pool, and an athlete training camp center with a capacity of 126 people.

The municipal council took a break from its work following the intensive budget negotiations. The council members decided to reconvene on October 5, 2026, to hold their next regular meeting.
