80 Percent of Bursa Atatürk Sports Hall Construction Completed

Work is rapidly progressing on the Atatürk Sports Hall project being carried out by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, with the facility's capacity increased through a revision.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba inspected the ongoing construction of the Atatürk Sports Hall and announced that the project is 80 percent complete and the spectator capacity has been increased to 5,000 people.

Inspection and Participants

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba carried out technical inspections at the Atatürk Sports Hall currently under construction in the city and received information from the teams on the latest stage reached in the project.

Şahin Biba was accompanied during this technical inspection tour by AK Party Provincial Vice President Cem Kürşad Hasanoğlu, AK Party Osmangazi District Chairman Adnan Kurtuluş, and relevant municipal bureaucrats.

Capacity Increase and Amenities

The spectator capacity, which was planned as 3,000 people at the initial stage of the project, was increased to 5,000 people as a result of the revision works carried out.

The new facility will feature many modern units ranging from locker rooms for athletes, referees, and coaches to spectator service areas, along with a 40-vehicle indoor parking lot for the administrative section.

Completed and Remaining Works

While reinforced concrete and steel construction manufacturing have been finished to date in the project, roof covering and retaining structures for landscaping have also been completed.

It was reported that terrace insulation, mechanical manufacturing, interior plastering, hardscape applications, and exterior facade works are currently continuing rapidly.
