9th International Bodrum Half Marathon Successfully Concluded
The 9th International Bodrum Half Marathon, which saw the participation of 2,500 athletes from 23 countries, featured colorful scenes.
Organized by Mint Organizasyon with the participation of two thousand five hundred athletes from twenty-three different countries, the ninth International Bodrum Half Marathon has concluded following races run across iconic locations in Bodrum.
Race Tracks and Start Times
The first race of the day, the 10K, started at 07:00, the 21K started at 07:15, and the 5K started at 07:30.
Athletes competed on routes passing through iconic Bodrum locations such as the Myndos Gate, the Antique Theatre, and the marina line.
Protocol Start and Race Participation
Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, Deputy Mayor Kanat Hasan Özsert, and District Director Oktay Dumruk gave the start of the races.
Names in the protocol supported the organization by running alongside athletes on the 5K track after the start.
Special Moments and Meaningful Medals
Hasan Can Altıner, one of the participating athletes, proposed marriage to Beste Mürşitoğlu after the race.
The marathon finisher medals were prepared by children with special needs studying under the Bodrum Health Foundation.
General Classification Results
In the 21K men's category, Üzeyir Söylemez finished first, Pavel Zakharov second, and Ömer Oklu third.
In the 21K women's category, Ezgi Akarsu took first place, Aleksandra Iakovleva second, and Aliye Ayta third.
