Stating that she felt no symptoms of illness prior to the race, the athlete noted that she should have withdrawn from the course but instead made the decision to continue.

Making a statement following the incident, Wietrzyk expressed deep regret toward the Chinese public, fellow competitors, spectators, and organizers.
The athlete emphasized that she takes responsibility for her decision to continue the race and is extremely remorseful for the discomfort caused.

Hyrox, a growing indoor fitness sport that combines running with high-intensity exercise stations, aims to feature in the Olympic Games in the future.
Moritz Fürste, co-founder of the organization, apologized for the incident on Sunday, acknowledging that the organizers should have intervened immediately.
Retrospective Withdrawal and Forfeiture of Points
Wietrzyk, who would have topped her category with a time of 1:01:23, decided to retrospectively withdraw from the race and forfeit the points she earned.
Following this process, Wietrzyk stated that she would rest for a while, spend time with her family, and thank everyone who supported her.
